Digitalpresso (CEO Kim Ju-hyung), a company specializing in AI-based industrial data automation solutions, announced that it has been selected for the “2026 Korea Residential Environment Awards.” This recognition, which honors both the company’s technological capabilities and its contributions to industrial innovation, was featured in the JoongAng Ilbo on July 20.
This selection is significant in that it highlights technology that improves data quality at construction sites—where residential environments are actually being built—rather than focusing on finished residential products. The company explains that the more accurate the records are regarding whether construction was carried out according to blueprints and when risks were identified and addressed, the higher the final quality and safety standards of the residential space.
The data platform “Rename DP,” developed and operated by Digital Presso, uses AI to automatically analyze and structure unstructured on-site data—such as photos, audio, blueprints, and documents—to support key tasks including construction records, daily work logs, risk assessments, and defect repair management.
When a worker takes photos of the site or describes the situation verbally, records and reports are automatically generated; even at underground or tunnel sites with poor communication, on-device AI running directly on the device ensures that recording is not interrupted.
The company has secured numerous patents and intellectual property rights in the construction and facility management sectors and is continuing to validate its technology and commercialize its solutions through certifications such as the Venture Company designation from the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, selection as a Family Company by the Korea Institute of Civil Engineering and Building Technology (KICT), and selection for the Global Accelerating Program by the Korea Agency for Infrastructure Technology Advancement (KAIA). Recently, the company has also begun developing a next-generation industrial AI platform that incorporates smart glasses-based hands-free AI.
A Digital Presso official stated, “Capturing what actually happens on construction sites as reliable data is the starting point for digital transformation, and we view safety not as a mere slogan but as a matter of data,” adding, “Taking this selection as an opportunity, we will further refine AI that can be used directly on-site and expand its scope of application beyond construction to industrial sites in general.”
